We are looking for a Ventures Associate to help support our dynamic Ventures Team. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, familiar with the start-up ecosystem, driven, articulate, and enjoy working with others in a fun and fast-paced environment. This individual must have an understanding of investments and how they are made along with a demonstrated interest in technology, start-ups, and corporate innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities
Source startups for investment as well as corporate partners
Evangelizing Plug and Play to all potential network partners including startups, investors, corporate members within all verticals
Identify business development, licensing and strategic investment opportunities for corporate members within the Plug and Play ecosystem
Platform & Ecosystem Management
Planning and execution of online program applications, startup selection days, and supporting the applications review process
Building relationships with media, incubators and accelerators, investors, corporate, university and other strategic partners, including organizing pre-selection days at universities
Provide event production and logistical support for demo days, mentor sessions and other events as part of the platform
Collaborate with corporate executives in deal flow sessions on a regular basis
Analyze start-up team strengths, market size, technology and business model.
Relationship Management and Research
Mentor startups in the platform on taking product to market, raising money, scaling, and all other ad hoc business needs
Work with corporations to identify areas for mentoring
Conduct research to identify new markets and industry sectors, conducting in-depth business analysis to identifying new competitive opportunities
Know every startup in the corporate interest space, as well as the operating region
Know the investment mindset: does the startup have a viable product corporates can integrate into their business
Coordinate closely with corporate sales associates and other stakeholders on deal flows so that startups match corporate interests and show up on time
Build a strong ecosystem through both cold and warm outreach; attend conferences and events in the region
3-5 years project management - ability to manage several projects with VC partners and startups
Communication - Must possess communication skills (verbal, oral, and written)
Must be proficient with public speaking
Critical Thinking and Problem Solving - Must be able to use logical reasoning to reach solutions
Proven ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues, prospects and industry contacts and contribute high-impact results
Career driven individual with passion for technology, entrepreneurship, investments and high tech start-ups
Self-Starter - ability to start projects or plan events with minimal to no supervision
Bachelor Degree (Masters preferred)
