Plug and Play InsurTech is the matchmaker between large, innovative insurance corporations like Statefarm Insurance, USAA, and Farmers Insurance with top startups disrupting the InsurTech space. With all the ways our cars are evolving, how we request and receive medical care, and insure our valuables and property; this innovation platform with Plug and Play is changing the way we look at all insurance products forever.

The Administrative Assistant is the glue that keeps the team together. This role provides the unique opportunity to collaborate with top executives and entrepreneurs at all of the major corporations across the world.




Duties and Responsibilities

Manage investment program operations
  • Coordinating all meetings pertaining to our managing partner, as well as setting up contact information/descriptions in the calendar and keeping relevant decks on-hand
  • Working with the managing partner to source startups for upcoming sessions and events
  • Assisting with the processing of legal paperwork for the program, as well as connecting our portfolio with legal resources
  • Creation of internal presentations and resources for our team in conjunction with marketing and others
  • Creation of toolkits, outreach templates, training materials, and communications resources
  • On boarding of new EIRs to the program including offer letters, sync-ups with accounting, and setting up business cards, access cards, IT profiles, and web profiles

  • Helping funnel/source 2,000 startups annually for review by our team
  • Assessing/managing the team’s Angel List applications page, and sourcing possible investment opportunities to the managing partner
  • Assessing the team’s web applications page and sourcing possible investment opportunities to the managing partner
  • Outreaching to startups on various conglomerate websites as well as Angel List to encourage them to pass along their materials or apply on the website to be a part of the program (goal is 20 per day)
  • Take calls with startups who are interested in the program to help them learn more, particularly when they have already raised money

  • Portfolio Relations/Startup Camp
  • Help onboard new startups joining the Startup Camp program by touring them, discussing and fielding questions about the program, and getting their lease agreements/Salesforce profile set
  • Provide lunch cards and access cards for companies joining the Startup Camp program-Help portfolio startups access all of Plug & Play’s resources by letting them know about upcoming events, VC sessions, and enabling their access to our incubator perks (Google Cloud etc)
  • Organize Startup Pitches/AV materials/marketing materials for our annual EXPO event-Introduce startups to various helpful entities on request

    Requirements
  • Energetic and eager to learn entry-level employee
  • Proficiency with Google Docs and MS Office Suite, capacity to learn basic Salesforce functions and outlook
  • Interest and enthusiasm towards startups and the silicon valley ecosystem
