A delegation of startups and investors from the San Diego Accelerator came to Plug and Play yesterday to explore some of the amazing opportunities. The trip was organized by StartupCircle and Saeed Amidi, founder of Plug and Play Silicon Valley. Plug and Play San Diego is an effort to create a bridge between the best San Diego startups, typically within health and mobile verticals, and Silicon Valley.

During their visit, the delegation heard pitches from 7 different startups: IntentivaReelQualified, Stretchr, RaynForest, Vioozer, Chemisense, and ProxToMe.

“We’re continuing to get the word out about the opportunity and about the fact that there are opportunities for San Diego startups to go up to Plug and Play in Sunnyvale. We’re trying to educate them on all the amazing resources that are really only in Silicon Valley, so that they can come back and continue to grow their start up in San Diego,” said  Gabriela Dow, VP of Strategic Initiatives for StartupCircle.

Among numerous benefits, such as admission into Plug and Play’s illustrious Startup Camp, the startups who are selected to participate in the Accelerator receive $25,000 in funding.

If you’re a San Diego based startup, be sure to apply online to be apart of this amazing program.
