Happy Holiday! Whether it’s carving pumpkins on Halloween, giving presents on Christmas, or eating way too much on Thanksgiving the holidays are a time when we gather to celebrate the great memories we have collected in our life, and take some time to create a few more with our loved ones. There is a ton of great tech out there that help you capture these memories and share them across the world. Here are a few:
This app lets different people from one group all contribute to the same photo album. Once invited to an album, you download the album code to stream all your photos and video directly from your camera. This one is good for Grandma, or anyone else who struggles with smartphone technology, because it also sends an email notification that allows you to interact with the app.
This is a little square camera that you can stick anywhere, download the app on your phone, and take a picture. This handy little device makes sure that no one is left out of the picture by connected to your phone via Bluetooth.
Did your uncle Frank get lost on the way to the store for a 20th serving of pumpkin pie? This app can help you find him, and more importantly that delicious pie he’s carrying. Life360 is an app that lets you keep track of family members through a private GPS map. It’s features that let you ‘check in’ when you get somewhere safely, a messaging ability, and a button that sends out an alert to everyone in the family.
Sometimes you’ve got to find something to entertain your relatives from out of town. Why not take them on a tour of the city you’ve chosen to call home. HearPlanet is an app that uses geolocation to give you access to a vast amount of audio guides to whatever city you’re in. Who knows, you might even learn something about you’re hometown you didn’t know.
