The Brand and Retail Center of Innovation at Plug and Play kicked off today with a demo event showcasing 22 of the most innovative retail focused startups who are changing the world of retail. Along with representatives from the top 50 global retailers, 20 e-commerce sites, and top retail technology enablers, the event was co-hosted by Mike Calbert, Head of the Retail industry team with KKR’s Private Equity platform. We were also very lucky to have Deborah Weinswig (Managing Director of Citi Group), Claudio Gouveia (VP of Operations at Carrefour), Bob Graham (CTO of BevMo) and Sajal Kohli (Director at McKinsey) speak about the trends and consumer strategies within the retail landscape.
