Step outside of your office and throw a USB stick – you are likely to hit a conference. I can name six in September alone: EXPO, Retail COI, CloudBeat, TC3, BeGLOBAL, and Disrupt (I refuse to link to Disrupt until Techcrunch answers my emails).
Conferences are a great source of
industry insights innovation elevator pitches free alcohol people to hit on co-founders networking opportunities, but let’s face it – are they really that different? If you’re going to go to a conference, you might as well GO to a conference…far away…on an island…in the Philippines. You might as well go to Geeks on a Beach and rub pasty, knotted shoulders with other hole-dwelling entrepreneurs that see less sunshine than this thing from the bottom of the ocean.
Be sure to say what’s up to Jojo Flores, the only Plug and Play employee smart enough to find a legitimate business reason to “work” this event. Call me Jojo, you could use a blogger.
Have you been to a better conference venue than this?
